France and San Sebastian!

This morning we left Bilbao and swung over into FRANCE! We visited the town of Saint Jean de Luz. The first place we went to was this little market that had amazing bread, cheese, pastries, duck pâté, fruits and veggies, etc. with tons of free samples!! Then we just continued along a street, sampling chocolates and dried fruits and cheese and such. For lunch I got a goat cheese, mozzarella and tomato panini. Then we went down to the beach and a few of us were brave enough to go into the water, even though it was like 60 degrees and the water definitely wasn't warm.
After that we got on the bus and went back into Spain to San Sebastian, a city right on the coast. After checking into the hotel we explored the city a bit. For dinner we had pintxo's (Basque word pronounced peen-cho)- basically you hop from bar to bar trying one or two of their pintxo's, which are just little appetizers, usually seafood, often held together with a toothpick. I tried one with crab and shrimp, octopus with onion and peppers, fried stuffed pepper, and tortilla con patata. After dinner we hiked up this hill to this rad castle. The view of San Sebastian and the ocean and bays was incredible.
